Dana White Predicts Floyd Mayweather Wouldn't Fare Too Well In The UFC

Retired boxing great Floyd Mayweather recently revealed that training has begun for a potential cross over into mixed martial arts.

UFC President Dana White is predicting that if Mayweather does fight in the Octagon, it won’t go well for the boxing great.

“Anyone can get caught on any given day,” White said on The Jim Rome Show. “But I think (an MMA fight) goes very badly for him.”

Mayweather is allegedly being trained by UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley, who recently revealed he has spoken to the boxer about training in MMA.

White has also spoken to members of Mayweather’s management and he says there is a good shot the boxer comes to the UFC.

“I think yes (he could fight in the UFC),” White said. “I didn’t think the first fight would happen with Mayweather. All I’d ever see was the stuff that went on with him and (Bob) Arum and how they couldn’t get the (Manny) Pacquiao fight done. Then once I got in and started negotiating with these guys (and) they’re smart guys. They’re easy to deal with, and from what I thought it was going to be, it was much easier. So yeah, I could see this happening.”

The retired boxer also revealed in a recent interview that there is a 50% chance he competes in an MMA fight this year.
