Dana White Remains High On Khamzat Chimaev's Star Potential Following UFC 279 Fight Week Antics: "He's An Absolute Beast"

UFC President Dana White doesn't believe Khamzat Chimaev's antics during UFC 279 fight week have diminished the undefeated Chechen contender's meteoric rise to MMA stardom.

White spoke with the media on Tuesday night during his weekly post-fight conference following the latest edition of Dana White's Contender Series and explained why he still remains high on Chimaev's star potential, regardless of the chaos that his actions mainly caused for the promotion last week.

“It was a nutty week, I mean, the whole week was nutty in every way that it could possibly be nutty, but I wouldn’t say by any stretch that it was a bad week for Khamzat Chimaev,” White said (h/t MMA Junkie). “He came in, and you all know what I think about Kevin Holland and what I think about him as a person and as a fighter, and God damn, Khamzat made that look easy and very quick. He’s an absolute beast.”
