Dana White Responds To 80/20 Split Rumors For McGregor vs. Mayweather Jr.

It seems like there is a never ending amount of controversy coming from the potential super fight between UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr.

The newest bit comes from promoter Bob Arum and Jeff Mayweather (Floyd’s Uncle), who say that the UFC wants an 80/20 split in the UFC’s favor for the super fights purse.

“What I would like to clarify is all the bulls—t about the 80 f—king 20 split,” White said at the UFC 210 post-fight press conference. “Jeff Mayweather? Come on, Jeff. Me and Jeff go way back. Jeff, are you spokesman now for f—king team Mayweather? And Bob Arum? You piece of s—t? F—k you too. What do they know about this fight? You know what they know about this fight? Nothing.”

Although nothing has been made official at this time, talks between Mayweather Jr.’s camp and the UFC fighter has been going on for many months now.

Despite the talk surrounding the fight, the relationship between the UFC President and the lightweight champion hasn’t been better.

“Believe me, we’ve had preliminary talks with Conor, and I’m in a good place with Conor, and we’re gonna meet in New York when he has his baby,” says White.

There is no date for the fight set at this time, but rumors are persisting that it would be taking place this coming September.
