The card has been announced for episode five of Dana White?s Tuesday Night Contenders Series and in the main event it?s going to be Mike Rodriguez versus Jamelle Jones.
Rodriguez (7-2-0) will enter the fight on the strength of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Alec Hooben and Hector Sanchez. Rodriguez has spent the majority of his professional MMA career in the CES MMA promotion, wining six of eight fights there. Rodriguez also competed in the Cage Titans promotion, earning two first round victories during his time there.
Jones (7-4-0) has won just one of his last three fights, with that lone victory coming over matt Howell at King Of The Cage: Fallout. Jones also competed once in the Bellator MMA promotion, dropping a fight to Ray Sloan by first round submission at Bellator 121. Jones only competed once as an amateur MMA fighter, defeating Chris Hatcher at a King Of The Cage event in 2013.
Other bouts on the card include Julio Arce versus Peter Petties, Alex Perez versus Kevin Gray, Donovan Frelow versus Ricky Simon and Shelton Graves versus Everett Sims.
