Dana White Says Amanda Nunes Is The Greatest Female Fighter He's Ever Seen

MMA

Dana White shares his thoughts about Amanda Nunes.

It was at UFC 232 on December 30th that Cris Cyborg and Amanda Nunes clashed for the UFC Women's Featherweight Championship. Nunes defeated Cyborg via KO after a number of shots to the face which ended Cyborg's reign as champion. Nunes became a two-division champion by beating Cyborg as she is now the holder of the UFC Women's Featherweight and Bantamweight Titles.

Unranked UFC Fighters to Watch out for in 2024

Amanda Nunes has expressed her excitement on social media about getting the recognition that she feels she deserves. The 17-4-0 "Lioness" is riding a wave of confidence and has not held back in making confident statements such as saying she's the greatest to every do it in MMA. UFC President Dana White did not disagree with Nunes' comments when he was being interviewed by TMZ Sports and the reporter asked Dana if he thinks Nunes is the greatest female fighter of all time.

“Yes, yes. She’s the best. I mean we said it going into that fight. The one that came out with both the 45, 35 pound belt would be the best ever or the winner of that fight would be the best ever.” White said.

Dana was then asked if he thinks Amanda is the greatest all-time fighter and he said it is hard to disagree with someone that is holding two belts in the sport of MMA. Dana added that Nunes went out there at UFC 232 and made a win over Cyborg look easy.

"Well look, anybody who wins two belts; the whole champ, champ thing is real. She won two belts. Cyborg is the most feared fighter out there, and she [Amanda] went in and made it look easy”. Dana explained.
