Former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor has pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in connection with his role in a bus attack before UFC 223, keeping the fighter out of jail and free to return to the Octagon.
UFC President Dana White says that the Irishman has faced a lot of repercussions for his role in the bus attack, including the loss of money.
?Conor has faced a lot of repercussions,? White said to MMA Junkie. ?Conor has lost a lot of money and a lot of time. Conor and I are good. We?re good.?
One of the fighters who was affected by the bus attack is Ray Borg, who saw his bout against Brandon Moreno canceled due to injuries.
Borg has heard about McGregor?s light sentencing and the flyweight contender really doesn?t care about how everything played out.
?I don?t care,? Borg told MMA Junkie. ?Whatever he got, I don?t really care. I?ve been too focused on my son to really care what?s going on with Conor. Even if he wasn?t a celebrity, the way the legal system works nowadays, you do a little bit here and there, make it right, and you?re off to a clean slate. I?ve been in trouble as a young kid, so I know how it works. I don?t know if it has even much to do with him being a superstar. It?s just the legal system.?
McGregor is now free to fight again in the UFC and a rumored bout with UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov may be happening this November at UFC 230.
