Dana White Says Daniel Cormier’s MMA Exit Is Neck In Neck With Georges St. Pierre’s

Former two division UFC champion Daniel Cormier will challenge UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic for the gold in the main event of UFC 252.

This weekend could serve as DC?s final professional MMA bout and UFC President Dana White says Cormier?s exit from MMA is neck in neck with Georges St. Pierre?s for the greatest MMA exit of all time.

?He?d be neck and neck for greatest exit with [Georges] St-Pierre,? White said to Yahoo! Sports Kevin Iole (via Steven Marrocco of MMA Fighting). ?I mean, GSP left with the title, then came back, won the 185-pound title, and then left again.?

DC and Miocic are meeting for a third time at UFC 252, with Cormier victorious in their first meeting at UFC 226 and Miocic winning the rematch at UFC 241.

White also says that the trilogy between Cormier and Miocic may be the greatest trilogy in UFC history.

?The beautiful thing about this one is, it?s probably the best trilogy we?ve ever had in the UFC, and it?s for the heavyweight championship, and to determine who?s the GOAT,? White said.

UFC 252 takes place on Saturday, August 15 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
