UFC President Dana White announced last year that the promotion is going to venture into the boxing world.
Whether it is boxing or mixed martial arts, one thing the UFC President is saying is that nobody offers better deals in than he does.
“Who can offer you a better deal than me in combat sports? F--- boxing, MMA, whatever it is,” he said to ESPN. “Who can offer a better deal than me? The answer is nobody. This is what we do. Keep doubting us.”
Although the UFC is now going to have boxing under its umbrella, no debut date or talent has been announced at this time.
One advantage White believes he has over everybody else is the overall presentation that a fighter gets when they are negotiating.
”Whoever an athlete is, I don’t care who it is, I want to fly you to Las Vegas and we’re going to meet,” White said. “I’m going to walk you through this new facility, show you the gym, the trainers, all the amenities. Free supplements, physical therapy, we’ll cook your food exactly how you like it three times per day. You’ll get health insurance.”
Outside of being the UFC President and getting the promotion into boxing, a very busy White also promotes his own MMA events in the form of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series.
