“When it comes to safety of the athletes and the fans and everything else, no matter where we go or what we do, we’re always concerned,” White said at the UFC 249 Press Conference (via Nolan King of MMA Junkie). “We’ve been thinking about this for weeks. (UFC) Dr. (Jeffrey) Davidson has been involved. I don’t know what else to say other than that.”

Other promotions have been affected by the coronavirus, as both One Championship and ARES FC have postponed events due to the virus.

There was some concern that the upcoming UFC 249 card could be canceled or postponed due to the coronavirus, but White says the show will go on.

“We’re not canceling the event,” White said.

Outside of professional MMA events, pro wrestling promotions such as NJPW, Stardom, DDT and others have canceled or postponed events due to the coronavirus
