Phillipe Nover went 1-3-0 during his time in the UFC, defeating Yui Chul Nam, while suffering losses to Zubaira Tukhugov, Renan Barao and Rick Glenn.

The former UFC star has since transitioned to becoming a registered nurse (RN) and recently received a video of encouragement from UFC President Dana White (via TMZ Sports):

Here is a transcript of what White said in the video, provided by Nolan King of MMA Junkie:

“Phillipe, Dana here. I’m hearing all the incredible things that you’re doing on the frontlines in New York City. You’re awesome, kid. I have so much respect for, not just you, but everybody who is part of the first responders and medical staff that are taking care of everybody and putting yourself in harm’s way to help others. You were a stud on ‘TUF,’ and apparently, you’re still kicking ass, my friend. Congratulations and thank you so much for all you’re doing for everybody. See you soon.”

Nover, who is helping in the battle against the coronavirus, heard the video from White and said the following in return:

“Wow, that’s a great message. I did not expect that. … That feels amazing. I’m glad the message is out there. He’s always been super supportive of my career, even in the UFC. That’s an amazing message. It (comes) from the boss. That’s awesome. Thanks, Dana.”

There is no word if Nover, who hasn’t competed since being released by the UFC, plans on competing in the future.
