Dana White On Tyron Woodley: “He Should Start Thinking About Hanging It Up”

UFC President Dana White thinks it is time for Tyron Woodley to move on.

Former UFC welterweight champion Woodley suffered a fifth-round TKO loss to former UFC interim welterweight champion Colby Covington in the main event of UFC Vegas 11. Woodley is now riding a three-fight losing streak and he has not picked up a win in over two years. This leads White to believe it may be time for Woodley to retire.

?I think he should start thinking about hanging it up,? White said after UFC Vegas 11 (via Mike Bohn & John Morgan of MMA Junkie). ?He?s had a great career. He?s made his money. We all get old, man. This happens to the best of us. Woodley?s had a good career. He?s been a champion. He?s been around awhile. He had a good run in Strikeforce, too.?

The former welterweight champion suffered a rib injury during the fight-ending sequence with Covington and there is no word yet on how long the injury could keep Woodley out of the Octagon. Woodley has yet to comment on his future, but his career could be coming to a close if the UFC President has his way.
