Dana White Wants To See Jones vs. Cormier III

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones has defeated two division UFC champion Daniel Cormier once before at UFC 182, while an initial win in the rematch at UFC 214 would be overturned to a no contest after Jones failed a drug test.

UFC President Dana White would love to see Jones vs. Cormier III, even if the third bout were to happen at heavyweight.

“The hatred is real with these two, it’s unbelievable,” White told TMZ Sports. “I would like to see it. The fans would like to see it. What would be interesting is, we might see it at heavyweight.”

DC is currently scheduled to fight former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lensar in 2019 before retiring in March of that year.

Whether a third bout happens or not, one thing White plans to do is to keep DC as happy as can be.

“I’m gonna do whatever DC wants to do,” White said. “Daniel Cormier has been an incredible champion for us. He’s an incredible human being. He’s a stud. I’m gonna do everything in my power to keep that man happy.”

Jones is still serving a fifteen month suspension for the aforementioned failed drug test, but that suspension ends at the end of this month.
