Daniel Dubois To Return On October 6 Card At Leicester Arena

Undefeated heavyweight prospect Daniel Dubois is ready to come back to the ring and get one step closer to getting to the upper echelon of fighters in the division.

Dubois, the former BBBofC English heavyweight titleholder, will fight on the October 6 boxing card at the Leicester Arena promoted by Frank Warren. Dubois will face heavyweight journeyman Kevin Johnson, who has lost eight of his last 12 fights. Despite the lack of in-ring success, Johnson has faced some of the best heavyweights out there, including Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, Kubrat Pulev and more.

Also on the card is a WBO Intercontinental and WBC International junior welterweight title fight between rising contenders Ohara Davies and Jack Catterall. Since losing his only pro fight to WBC Silver champion Josh Taylor in 2017, Davies has won his last three fights. Catterall, the WBO’s No. 2 ranked boxer at 140 pounds, has won all 22 of his fights, including all three of his fights that took place in 2018.

Other fights on the card include Sam Bowen defending his BBBofC British super featherweight title for the first time against an opponent that has yet to be announced. Rising women’s boxing star Nicola Adams is also announced on the card, potentially fighting in a world title fight, but her opponent has not been announced either.

The other fight announced for October 6 is Leon Woodstock vs. Archie Sharp for the WBO European super featherweight title. Woodstock, the WBO’s No. 15 ranked super featherweight, will be defending the title he won last year for the first time.
