A women’s strawweight division encounter is the latest bout added to UFC Fight Night St. Louis as Danielle Taylor is in action against JJ Aldrich.
Taylor (9-2-0) enters the fight on the strength of a two bout winning streak, defeating the duo of Seo Hee Ham and Jessica Penne. Taylor is also a former two time King Of the Cage Women’s Strawweight Champion, defeating Glena Avila and Jamie Colleen to start both reigns. Taylor has seen her last three fights go the distance and it has been nearly two years since the last time the fighter got a finish.
Aldrich (5-2-0) has won just one of two under the UFC banner and that lone win came over Chanmi Jeon at UFC Fight Night 110. Aldrich also won three of four in Invicta FC, defeating Lynn Alvarez, Rose Acevedo and Delaney Owen. Aldrich also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 23, losing to eventual show winner Tatiana Suarez in the quarterfinals.
UFC Fight Night St. Louis takes place on Sunday, January 14 from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
