Demetrious Johnson OK With Potential TJ Dillashaw/Henry Cejudo Super Fight

MMA

Former UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrius Johnson lost the gold to Henry Cejudo via split decision in the co-main event of UFC 227.

Cejudo would call out UFC Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw after the fight and Johnson would be ok if the two champions were to battle in the Octagon.

?I think it?s good for them,? Johnson said on Ariel Helwani?s MMA Show. ?If that?s what they want to do, let them do it, you know? I think I read somewhere T.J. said when he was weight-cutting he hit 133, so if he wants to do it, have him do it. I don?t think there?s nothing wrong with it at all. Let them do what they wanna do, dawg. That?s them.?

Johnson and Dillashaw had been rumored to be meeting in a super fight for over a year, but the bout never came to fruition.

The former champion isn?t worried about the outcome because Johnson believes he?ll be successful at whatever the fighter does.

?I?m not worried about because I know I?m gonna be successful wherever I?m at?whether it?s me not getting a fair shake?at the end of the day, that?s something my management is gonna have to deal with because I don?t talk to the UFC brass because I can?t hold back my emotions, and I keep it real,? Johnson said.

There is no word yet at to which champion would put the gold on the line if the super fight does come together, as Dillashaw was planning to drop to flyweight for the Johnson bout.
