Derek Brunson, Jennifer Maia, Vicente Luque Get Big Finish Wins At UFC Vegas5

UFC is back on American soil, and had an action packed main card on Saturday night at the UFC Apex.

#8 Derek Brunson crushed #9 Edmen Shahbazyan in the night's main event, capping off an exciting main card. After nearly knocking out Shahbazyan in the second round, Brunson picked things up in the third  and pounded his opponent out en route to a TKO victory. At 36-years old, Brunson is riding a three fight winning streak.

#6 Jennifer Maia defeated #3 Joanne Calderwood with a first round armbar, that effectively removed Calderwood from the title picture. Maia has now won three of her last four fights, but gained the first finish in her UFC career.

Maia spoke after the fight, which you can check out below.

The final ranked bout of the evening featured #11 Vicente Luque landing a huge KO on Randy Brown in the last seconds of round two. Luque is on an insane roll in the UFC, winning 8 of his last nine, and 12 of his last 14 fights.
