Derek Chisora Goes On Rant About His Fight Not Headlining October Show At The O2 Arena

Derek Chisora wants to know if his fight is going to be the main event or not.

The heavyweight veteran went on a bit of a rant during a press conference for an upcoming show at The O2 Arena on October 26, voicing his frustrations with his fight against former world champion Joseph Parker not appearing to go on last on the show. Instead, the card is expected to be headlined by the World Boxing Super Series junior welterweight finals between Regis Prograis and Josh Taylor.

In the video at the top of the page is the rant from Chisora, who asked promoter Eddie Hearn about it in the middle of the press conference but Chisora never received a clear cut answer.

Chisora doubled down on the comment about Vaseline and tweeted about it hours later.

While the fight between Chisora and Parker may not have anything at stake, the winner stays alive in the heavyweight title picture after both suffered a loss in big fights in 2018. As for the WBSS finals between Prograis and Taylor, the winner will not just walk away with the Muhammad Ali Trophy, but also with the unified WBA and IBF junior welterweight world titles. The card will be streamed on DAZN in the United States.
