Another heavyweight bout has been added to the July 20 Matchroom Boxing card at the O2 Arena in London.
British heavyweight veteran Derek Chisora will face Artur Szpilka on the undercard of the Dillian Whyte vs. Oscar Rivas heavyweight bout. The card will be streamed on DAZN in the United States.
Chisora has faced a number of reputable heavyweights throughout his career including Tyson Fury and Whyte on two occasions each and even fought Vitali Klitschko for the WBC heavyweight world title. After being knocked out by Whyte last year in a rematch, Chisora sought out Dave Coldwell and made him his new trainer. The two already have one fight under their belt together which was a dominant 10-round decision win against Senad Gashi back on April 20.
Szpilka is also a veteran in the heavyweight division, once challenging for the WBC world title when he fought Deontay Wilder back in 2016. After that loss to Wilder, Szpilka spent 18 months away from the sport of boxing before returning to action. Since then, Szpilka has won two of his three fights with the one loss being to Adam Kownacki in 2017. Szpilka's last time out was a split decision win over former title challenger Mariusz Wach in November 2018.
The card will not only feature Whyte face Rivas with the winner likely being at No. 1 in the WBC heavyweight rankings but also a grudge match between British contender Dave Allen against former British titleholder David Price.
