Derrick Lewis is challenging Daniel Cormier for the UFC Heavyweight Title in the main event of UFC 230.

A memorable moment took place at UFC 229 as Lewis said that his fight shorts were of because the fighter’s “balls were hot,” but Lewis says that’s not the real reason the trunks were removed.

“I’m always saying crazy things and it is crazy about my balls. I guess people believes that my balls really is that hot, I didn’t know Joe Rogan was going to ask me about that. I took the shorts off to throw them into the crowd, that’s the reason that I did it, but he asked me that and I didn’t know what else to say,” Lewis said to MMA Junkie.

There was no thermometer at Octagon side, so it is impossible to tell just how hot Lewis’ balls were at UFC 229.

Lewis says his balls were never really that hot, which is due to a special place between your balls and your butt hole.

“They really wasn’t that hot, I know that you play with your balls sometimes and you know that one feeling between your butt hole and your balls…that’s always cold, so your balls are never really that hot,” says Lewis.

UFC 230 takes place on Saturday, November 3 from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with Daniel Cormier and Derrick Lewis headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
