Derrick Lewis is back in action this weekend at UFC Fight Night Wichita, facing former UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior Dos Santos in the main event.

If there is one bout that Lewis would like before retirement comes, it would be a second fight against Francis Ngannou.

“I would like to fight him again,” Lewis on Wednesday told MMA Junkie. “If he gets to the title, then, yes, I’ll fight him again. I would love to fight him again if he gets the title shot. I have to right the wrong. I can’t retire without fighting Francis again – at least get in a good shot on the guy. Goddamn, I wish I would have gotten a good shot on him. We’ll see how this year plays out.”

Lewis and Ngannou first competed at UFC 226, with Lewis pulling out a unanimous decision win in a rather uneventful fight.

Ngannou has won two straight since that first bout against Lewis, while Lewis has won just one of two bouts.

UFC Fight Night Wichita takes place on Saturday, March 9 from the Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas with Derrick Lewis and Junior Dos Santos headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
