Diego Sanchez competed on the preliminary card of UFC 253, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Jake Matthews.

Unfortunately, a defeated Sanchez didn?t enter UFC 253 unscathed, as he fought Matthews while dealing with a torn labrum in his left hip. Sanchez revealed the news through Instagram:

There is no word at this time as to how long Sanchez could be out of action for.
