Dillian Whyte Calls Out Manuel Charr: "I’m Ranked Number Four, Where Is He Ranked?"

Dillian Whyte's current future is somewhat uncertain after some developments at the top of the heavyweight division.

After Deontay Wilder signed on to defend his WBC title against Dominic Breazeale in May, Whyte was left without a big fight and the British contender is not happy with how things stands. In a recent column he wrote for talkSPORT, Whyte was critical of Breazeale getting the shot to face Wilder in Brooklyn.

"Dominic Breazeale should never be fighting Deontay Wilder. If you look at what he?s done and what I?ve done, it?s crazy that he?s the mandatory challenger for Wilder?s WBC belt and not me. But that?s the way the heavyweight division is. It?s been like that for a long time ? it?s nothing new. It?s just one of them things that you learn to take in your stride. It?s annoying, but I don?t really get frustrated," Whyte said.

As for his future, Whyte's next fight has not been officially set, but he did say it looks like it will take place on July 13, but no opponent was mentioned. Whyte did take some time in his column to talk about one name that could have been Whyte's opponent: WBA "Regular" heavyweight champion Manuel Charr.

According to Whyte, Charr was not interested in defending his secondary world title against Whyte because the Brit is "irrelevant." Whyte fired back with insults of his own.

"Manuel Charr said he?s not interested in fighting me because I?m ?irrelevant? but the guy is just a media wh*re. He hasn?t even got a proper belt ? where is he ranked? I?m ranked number four in the world, where is he ranked? His best fight to date is getting stopped early by Vitali Klitschko. If anyone is irrelevant, it?s him. He?s fought one guy in two years ? Alexander Ustinov ? and 90 percent of people haven?t got a clue who that is," Whyte wrote.

Whyte has been calling for the WBC to name him the new mandatory challenger to Wilder's WBC title, but the governing body said it will wait and see what happens in the division before making an official decision.
