Dillian Whyte Ranks His Top Heavyweights: Andy Ruiz Jr., Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua, Then Me

In an interview with talkSPORT, Whyte shared his thoughts on who the top heavyweights in the world are. With Andy Ruiz Jr. beating Anthony Joshua back in June to win three of the four major heavyweight world titles, Whyte believes that Ruiz is the top fighter in the division.

Below are Whyte's personal top 10 list of heavyweights today:

10. Adam Kownacki

9. Alexander Povetkin

8. Oscar Rivas

7. Luis Ortiz

6. Joseph Parker

5. Tyson Fury

4. Dillian Whyte

3. Anthony Joshua

2. Deontay Wilder

1. Andy Ruiz Jr.

There may be some that noticed the lack of former undisputed cruiserweight champion and current WBO heavyweight mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk. Although many have Usyk ranked as one of the best heavyweights today, Whyte's explanation for leaving him out of the top 10 is simply due to him not having fought once.

"Usyk shouldn?t be anywhere the top ten heavyweights because he ain?t had no fight yet. We don?t know. He was meant to fight Carlos Takam and I think he bottled it. I think he pulled out the fight because he just wasn?t ready for heavyweight," Whyte said.

Whyte is currently scheduled to face Rivas in the main event of a Matchroom Boxing card at The O2 in London on July 20 with the event being streamed on DAZN in the United States. Also on the card is cruiserweight contender Lawrence Okolie and rising heavyweight star Dave Allen in action against David Price.
