UFC fighter Donald Cerrone has put on some of the greatest performances in the history of the UFC and also leads quite an adventurous life outside of the Octagon.
“Cowboy” nearly saw his life ended recently when he and a friend when on an underwater cave dive, but both made it out okay in the end.
The fighter took to Instagram to describe how things went down:
Today I can honestly say I’m Happy to be alive. We had catastrophic worst case scenario on our dive. Total silt out , lost the cave line and lost my buddy couldn’t see my own hands was the most scariest moment to this day in my life. I remember kissing Danger and Lindsay and saying I’ll see y’all soon, don’t worry daddy’s coming home!!!! Told the grim reaper “ Not today Mother Fucker “ I’m figuring this the fuck out and coming home !!
Cerrone, life threatening cage dives aside, has a date with destiny at UFC Fight Night Denver, as he takes on fellow welterweight slugger Mike Perry.
UFC Fight Night Denver takes place on Saturday, November 10 from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado with Frankie Edgar and Chan Sung Jung headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
