It’s no secret that United States President Elect Donald Trump is a fan of the Ultimate Fighting Championships. In fact, UFC President Dana White appeared at the 2016 Republican National Convention to speak about the business sense of the future President. The day after UFC 205 (Sunday, November 13) Trump met with one of the new owners of the UFC in Ari Emanuel to “discuss some concerns he had,” according to Emanuel, who spoke with CNN.
Those exact concerns that Trump had with the UFC or it’s ownership team has yet to be made public, if it will ever become public knowledge is yet to be known. Dana White did say that a seat was reserved for Trump in Madison Square Garden for UFC 205, but Trump didn’t appear in any way at the event, whether in the arena or backstage.
Emanuel is also a former representative for Trump as well, they have a relationship that has gone back many years now as well, Emanuel even represented Trump during his negotiations with NBC for the widely popular show “The Apprentice.”
The last time that Trump and Emanuel worked together was in the summer of 2015, when Trump sold his stake in the Miss USA Pageant to WME-IMG, a group that Emanuel is a part of.
