A middleweight division encounter has been added to the upcoming UFC On Fox 26 card as Vitor Miranda is in action against Julian Marquez.
Miranda (12-6-0) enters the fight on a two bout losing streak, having dropped a pair of fight to the duo of Chris Camozzi and Marvin Vettori. Miranda has also earned a total of three victories in the UFC, with the most notable of them coming over Clint Hester at UFC 190. Miranda lost to a pair of UFC veterans prior to signing with the promotion. Those losses came to Fabio Maldonado and Carlos Augusto Inocente Filho.
Marquez (6-1-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he did earn a victory on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 4. Marquez will also enter this fight on the strength of a four fight winning streak, which includes a win over UFC veteran Matt Hamill. Marquez also fought once in Bellator MMA, dropping a fight to Chris Harris by unanimous decision at Bellator 150.
UFC On Fox 26 takes place on Saturday, December 16 from the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox.
