Elias Theodorou Faces Daniel Kelly At UFC Fight Night Sydney


A middleweight division clash has been added to the upcoming UFC Fight Night Sydney card as Elias Theodorou looks for the win against Daniel Kelly.

TSN confirmed the fight, which was reported by Sean Ross Sapp on the Holy Smokes MMA Podcast in August.

Theodorou (13-2-0) has won two of his last three under the UFC banner, with those two wins coming over the duo of Sam Alvey and Cezar Ferreira. Theodorou was the middleweight winning of the UFC Ultimate Fighter Nations, defeating Sheldon Westcott in the finals. Theodorou has seen his last four fights in the UFC go the distance and it has been over two years since he got a finish inside of the Octagon.

Kelly (13-2-0) has won four of his last five under the UFC banner and that includes a win over former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans. Kelly has a record of 1-2-0 when competing in UFC events headlined by Mark Hunt, which UFC Fight Night Sydney is. Kelly has only suffered two losses as a professional MMA fighter and they both came in the UFC, those losses came to Derek Brunson and Sam Alvey.

UFC Fight Night Sydney takes place on Saturday, November 18 from the Qudus bank Arena in Sydney, Australia with Mark Hunt and Marcin Tybura headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
