Errol Spence Jr. vs. Shawn Porter PPV And Prelim Card Set

With the top two fights for the upcoming PBC card on September 28 already set, the rest of the televised fights have been announced.

The September 28 show taking place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles will be headlined by a welterweight title unification between Errol Spence Jr. and Shawn Porter on pay-per-view. The two fights that will open the pay-per-view are a junior welterweight bout between Mario Barrios and Batyr Akhmedov as well as a welterweight fight between Josesito Lopez and John Moline Jr. The pay-per-view portion of the card also has a WBC super middleweight title bout between Anthony Dirrell and David Benavidez.

Barrios and Akhmedov are undefeated 140-pound contenders that are on the cusp of a world title shot with a win since both are ranked in the top three by the WBA. Lopez will be fighting for the first time since a loss to WBA welterweight champion Keith Thurman in January. Molina was expected to fight on the July 20 PBC on FOX pay-per-view against Sergey Lipinets, but suffered an injury days before the fight that forced him to withdraw.

PBC also announced a prelim card that will be aired on FS1. On that prelim card, former world champion Robert Guerrero and undefeated prospect Joey Spencer will have separate fights against opponents yet to be announced.
