Andre Soukhamthath Says He's Knocking Out Gavin Tucker In The First & Shutting His Critics Up

MMA

Andre Soukhamthath is back in action at UFC Fight Night Moncton, with Gavin Tucker serving as his opponent.

The bantamweight faced a lot of criticism for his last fight against Sean O?Malley at UFC 222, mainly due to the fact that Soukhamthath didn?t attack the injured leg of O?Malley to get a potential victory.

?In the fight itself, I obviously made a mistake. I learned a lot from that fight, that?s all I can say. Not just in the fight, but after and just the whole experience of being in that position of fighting somebody like Sean O?Malley. Someone who?s making a lot of noise, someone who is really popular and someone who could say whatever he wants to say and someone the fans love. I learned a lot from that fight and I?m definitely going to grow from that fight?for sure,? says Soukhamthath in an exclusive interview with Fightful?s James Lynch.

Soukhamthath is in a potential must win scenario at UFC Fight Night Moncton, having won just one of four in the UFC leading into this encounter.

When Soukhamthath and Tucker clash in the Octagon on October 27, a confident Soukhamthath says it is going to be a first round knockout victory for himself.

?I honestly feel like I?m gonna sleep him in the first round, I?m gonna knockout him out in the first round man. I?m gonna plant some shots and I?m gonna knock him out, because you know what?I have a lot of people to shut up and I know I?m better than what I showed last year. I?m gonna show it this time, no games. I?m totally focused on me, on fight and that?s it,? says Soukhamthath.

UFC Fight Night Moncton takes place on Saturday, October 27 from the Moncton Events Centre in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada with Volkan Oezdemir and Anthony Smith headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
