“We addressed it in-house, I put it squarely on myself before anybody else. That fight was going very comfortably…very smoothly, we were winning every second of the fight…the stand up…the ground…everything. I got a little complacent mentally, it wasn’t hop over on the omaplata or you’ll rip your arm up. Its pretty simple, I didn’t think he had it. I tried to limp arm and I was a little complacent, the respect wasn’t there and that’s something I’ve addressed. October 27…when the bell rings, I’ll be full steam ahead, fully focused and I’m taking nothing for granted,” says Bhullar in an exclusive interview with Fightful’s James Lynch.

Bhullar had won seven straight before that loss, including a win over Luis Henrique at UFC 215.

Former WWE Heavyweight Champion Jinder Mahal and Bhullar are good friends, although the two haven’t linked up in quite some time.

“For sure, I mean we text periodically. I haven’t chatted with him in a little bit, he’s doing his thing in the pro wrestling arena. Actually Bobby Lashley is coming to town on the weekend, I’m trying to hook up with him…we’ll see if that happens. Jinder's always doing well and he knows that I have love for him, its mutual and its all good,” says Bhullar.

UFC Fight Night Moncton takes place on Saturday, October 27 from the Moncton Events Center in Moncton, new Brunswick, Canada with Volkan Oezdemir and Anthony Smith headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
