Exclusive: Alistair Overeem: "Who Cares About Brock Lesnar?"

Brock Lesnar's WWE contract is up next year, but a former foe doesn't think returning to the UFC is an option for the former champion.

Alistair Overeem body kicked Brock Lesnar out of the UFC in 2011, and ahead of his UFC 218 fight with Francis Ngannou, told Fightful.com's James Lynch that we will never see Lesnar fight in the cage again.

"He'll never return to MMA. I was surprised that he came back at one moment, and we all saw what happened to him. He won't come back. Who cares about Brock Lesnar?," Overeem said at the UFC 218 open workouts.

Lesnar did briefly return to MMA and the UFC in 2016. He defeated Mark Hunt via unanimous decision at UFC 200 in July of that year, but the fight result was later overturned to a no contest after Lesnar failed multiple drug tests and was suspension. Since then, Lesnar has officially retired and removed himself from the United States Anti Doping Agency testing pool with a significant amount of suspension time left to be served.

UFC 218 takes place Saturday, December 2 from the Little Ceasers Arena in Detroit, Michigan. Fightful.com will have full, live coverage of the show, including a post-show podcast covering UFC 218, the TUF 26 Finale and Bellator 189.
