Jessica Aguilar says professional wrestling looks fun.
Some of UFC Strawweight Jessica Aguilar's teammates at American Top Team have been seen on Impact Wrestling and other mixed-martial-artist have tried out the craft. In an interview with Fightful's James Lynch, Aguilar was asked if she ever thought about joining her teammates in professional wrestling.
"That would be fun. That would be a nice little gig. I would love to do that. I'd love to put on my Mexican Lucha Libre mask and go out there and have fun like that, " said Aguilar. "We haven't spoke about that. There's been a lot going on as far as camp and business. After this victory, maybe we can have some fun and go that route," she continued.
Aguilar said she was never a fan of professional wrestling in her youth but the wrestling she did see was traditional Lucha Libre. Lynch also asked Aguilar about Ronda Rousey joining WWE. Aguilar said it is a great idea.
"I think it's a great opportunity. I think it's amazing what she's doing and what she's done. If she likes that, if she's doing it, I think it's great," said Aguilar.
In the rest of the interview, Jessica Aguilar (19-6) discusses her now canceled fight against Livia Renata Souza (11-1) at UFC Fight Night 126 on Feb. 18. Jessica also talks about being off for more than a year and her training camp for this fight.
Fightful MMA will provide live coverage and a recapping podcast for UFC Fight Night 126.
