There is a reason you are not supposed to talk during a theater screening.
Reena Norville, an LFA newcomer, caught up with Fightful for the website's Stories Series. Norville reflected on how things escalated between her and a chatty moviegoer.
"You know how nowadays the movie theaters have assigned seating?" Norville began. "Me and my husband are sitting down at a movie. It was a scary movie. This girl comes up next to us 30 minutes into the movie and says, 'Is this seat taken?' And I don't get it. Either it's yours or it's not. I was like, 'No, no one is sitting there.' So she sits down and then she starts taking the entire time. Of course, I'm like, 'Hey, can you be quiet please>' She just lost it and started yelling at me. The whole entire movie theater is looking at me. She's like, 'Do you want to take this outside?' And I was like, 'I'm pretty sure you don't want to take this outside.' I just say whatever and watch the rest of the movie."
"After the movie is done, I went outside and sure as shit she is waiting for me at the bottom of the escalator. Her and her little girlfriend. They start sitting there yelling at me again. I'm thinking, 'Oh my God, I just want to leave.' She clinches her fist and throws at me. I step back and I grab the hood of her sweatshirt, the other girl's hood and yell, 'Stop it! Stop! I don't want to do this right now.' She starts swinging on me, so I let go of the girl who wasn't swinging on me. I clinched and kneed and she didn't like that very much," Norville explained. "I let go of her and they ran off."
