Rob Font’s last Octagon appearance came at UFC On Fox 31, where he defeated Sergio Pettis by unanimous decision.

Some fighters take a while to find a rhythm in a particular fight, but Font started getting into the flow against Pettis after using the jab.

“It was just from the jab, like knowing that I could touch him at will and then that first takedown. I clinched that and I always knew…I knew I could just out power him with most of these moves if I just clinched up with him,” says Font in an exclusive interview with Fightful’s James Lynch.

That win for Font was his sixth in the UFC and also the fighter’s first win in the promotion by way of decision.

UFC Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw is challenging UFC Flyweight Champion Henry Cejudo for the gold in the main event of UFC Fight Night Brooklyn and Font believes that one title holder will get a finish in that one.

“I gotta go with TJ on that one…I can see TJ getting the finish, TKO in at least the third round. I can see TJ finishing him,” says Font.

Font current sits at #10 in the UFC Bantamweight Division rankings, meaning the fighter could be a few wins away from a title shot of his own against Dillashaw.
