Marlon Vera has a big bout coming up at UFC Fight Night Beunos Aires, facing Guido Cannetti in a bantamweight division clash.

The bantamweight prospect feels he has a lot of advantages over Cannetti, mainly in the height and ground game departments.

“He’s short…he’s explosive…he’s fast, but I don’t think he has the ground game if I touch the ground. I think he’s really short, so I will keep my range and I will run around, throw my kicks and keep it simple like always. You know, hard kicks…move…move…move and then I’ll catch him coming in and that’s how it goes and lets see what happens,” says Vera in an exclusive interview with Fightful’s James Lynch.

While Vera does mention a height advantage over Cannetti, it is only a two inch advantage when they step into the Octagon this November.

Vera doesn’t known exactly what to expect on November 17, but the fighter knows its going to be a banger.

“This is for sure going to be a bang in the stand up, I think we’re going to throw. Lets see who can take it, lets see who brings the game…who brings the bolsa. People bring a good game plan and if things get ugly…plan B, its five for me. I have one game plan, I know that sometimes fighting…you get clipped, sometimes you get caught. For me at that points, its just fine. Lets just fight and figure it out, this is a fight and its not that hard. Two hands…two legs…two elbows…two knees, figure it out from there, he’s going for heart. I love to fight, I love to get deep and I have been in deep waters before. Hopefully he can take it to, because I coming as strong and motivated. I have a newborn in the home and I’m feeling great,” says Vera.

UFC Fight Night Beunos Aires takes place on Saturday, November 17 from the Luna Park in Beunos Aires, Argentina with Neil Magny and Santiago Ponzinibbio headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
