Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Fabricio Werdum suffered a fourth round knockout loss to Alexander Volkov in the main event of UFC Fight Night London.
The loss is a major setback for the Brazilian, who was potentially a win or two away from a shot to reclaim the UFC Heavyweight Title.
Werdum has now taken to Instagram to issue a statement on his latest defeat:
Outside of the cage, one of Werdum?s biggest haters is welterweight fighter Colby Covington, who posted the following on Twitter to mock the former champion:
Covington and Werdum first became rivals after the welterweight referred to all Brazilians as ?filthy animals? after a win at UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo. The two would later get physical prior to UFC Fight Night Sydney, where Werdum would assault Covington with a boomerang.
Since both fighters are in two different weight classes, it is highly unlikely that they will settle their differences inside of the Octagon.
