A featherweight division encounter is the latest addition to UFC Fight Night Sydney card as Jeremy Kennedy is in action against Alex Volkanovski.
Kennedy (11-0-0) has already earned three victories under the UFC banner, having defeated Alessandro Ricci, Rony Jason and Kyle Bochniak. Kennedy is also a former Battlefield Fight League Lightweight Champion, defeating Mario Pereira to win the gold in January 2015. Kennedy also held the Battlefield Fight League Amateur Lightweight Title and the Hard Knocks Fighting Championships Lightweight Title before turning pro.
Volkanovski (15-1-0) is also undefeated thus far in UFC competition, defeating the duo of Yusuke Kasuya and Mizuto Hirota. Volkanovski is also a former Pacific Xtreme Combat Featherweight Champion, which he won by defeating Yusuke Yachi at PXC 50 in December 2015. Volkanovski has only seen three of his sixteen professional MMA fights go the distance and the last one of his fights to due so took place earlier this year at UFC Fight Night 110.
UFC Fight Night Sydney takes place on Saturday, November 18 from the Qudus Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia with Mark Hunt and Marcin Tybura headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
