Felice Herrig earned her third victory under the UFC banner at UFC Fight Night 104, where she earned a decision over the previously undefeated Alexa Grasso.
Herrig now has a pair of opponents in mind for her next fight, which are a former Invicta FC Atomweight Championship and a woman who has defeated her before.
“I would hope the UFC would do the right thing and give me either Paige or Michelle Waterson,” Herrig told MMA Junkie. “I wasn’t vocal about it, but I was offered the Waterson fight (at UFC on FOX 23), and I accepted it, and then two weeks later, I had it taken away from me and given to Paige.”
Herrig and Waterson have both fought under the same promotional banner before, as they both competed in Invicta FC at the same time. Herrig has wanted to fight Waterson for a long time now, as they also appeared on the “Fight Girls” reality show together.
“I’ve been trying to fight her in a muay Thai fight ever since then,” Herrig said. “When I call these people out, it’s not in a disrespectful way. I feel really confident in myself again, and I would like to climb the ranks.”
Other than the win over Grasso at UFC Fight Night 104, Herrig also holds victories over Kailin Curran and Lisa Ellis.
