This month’s UFC On Fox 23 card has undergone a pair of changes, with the first being that a middleweight division fight between Hector Lombard and Brad Tavares has been pulled from the card for undisclosed reasons.
The other change to the card will be the addition of a middleweight division fight as Alessio Di Chirico takes on Eric Spicely.
Di Chirico (4-1-0) has won just one of two fights under the UFC banner, defeating Garreth McClellan and suffering a defeat to Bojan Velickovic. Di Chirico held a championship as an amateur, as he was the former IMMAF Middleweight Champion, he defeated Elvin Kjonsvik to win the belt in 2014. Di Chirico has seen his last three fights go to the judge’s scorecards, it is a streak that has lasted over a year.
Spicely (9-1-0) has also won just one of two fights in UFC competition, defeating Thiago Santos and suffering a defeat to Sam Alvey. Spicely was a cast member on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 23, he made it to the semi-finals before losing to Andrew Sanchez. Spicely is a longtime veteran of the CES MMA promotion, he won all eight of his fights in the promotion. FloCombat first reported the news.
