- A WBC rule states that all fighters competing in title bouts must have a 30-day, 14-day and 7-day weigh-in before their fight. Canelo Alvarez and Daniel Jacobs, who will fight for the WBA, WBC and IBF middleweight titles on May 4, made weight for their 30-day check in. Alvarez came in at 168.2 pounds while Jacobs was at 175.4 pounds, both within the 10 percent range above the 160-pound championship limit (or 176 pounds for the 30-day weigh-in).
- The purse bid for the WBO Light Heavyweight title fight between Sergey Kovalev and Anthony Yarde, originally set for April 8, has been postponed for another week per the request of Kovalev's promoter, Kathy Duva
- The upcoming WBC Silver welterweight title fight between Danny Garcia and Adrian Granados will be shown live and free on ITV4 in the United Kingdom on April 20.
