- Katsunori Nagamine announced his retirement from boxing after 18 pro fights and a 15-2-1 record. Nagamine revealed that he had suffered an eye injury in training and went to the hospital where he was diagnosed with an issue that has forced him to make his decision to retire from the sport. Nagamine unsuccessfully challenged for the Japanese national flyweight title back in March when lost a close unanimous decision to Masayuki Kuroda.

- Junto Nakatani and Naoki Mochizuki will fight for the vacant Japanese national flyweight title on February 2 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. The fight will be the co-main event to Kenichi Ogawa's in-ring return against Roldan Aldea.
