Fight-Size Boxing Update: Josh Warrington's Next Opponent, Ishe Smith, Spence-Porter

Your fight-size boxing update: 

- Josh Warrington's next opponent has been revealed. Warrington will defend his IBF featherweight title against Sofiane Takoucht on October 12 in Leeds, England.

- In addition, several undercard fights were announced for the October 12 show in Leeds:

  • Zelfa Barrett vs. Jordan McCorry: Commonwealth super featherweight title
  • Lyndon Arthur vs. Emmanuel Anim: Commonwealth light heavyweight title
  • Michael Ramabeletsa vs. Jack Bateson: BBBofC English super bantamweight title
  • Troy WIlliamson vs. Navid Mansouri: WBO Intercontinental junior middleweight title

- Former world champion Ishe Smith will make his bare knuckle boxing debut at VBK: 1, Valor Bare Knuckle's inaugural event taking place from New Town, North Dakota on September 21.

- There will be a press conference on August 13 at the STAPLES Center in Star Plaza to continue the buildup to the welterweight world title unification between Errol Spence Jr. and Shawn Porter and the WBC super middleweight title bout between Anthony Dirrell and David Benavidez. 

- Arnold Barboza Jr., Chris van Heerden and Janibek Alimkhanuly will all see action in separate 10-round fights on August 17 as part of the ESPN+ undercard from the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles.

- Hiroaki Teshigawara stopped Shohei Omori in the 12th round to retain the OPBF super bantamweight title at a boxing card at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.

- Nazarov Olimjon will face Soriano Ivan for the vacant WBO Oriental flyweight title on August 25 at the District 7 Arena in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
