- The Sergey Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde fight for the WBO light heavyweight title will be streamed on ESPN+ starting at 12:30 p.m. ET. Also on the broadcast is Aleksei Papin vs. Ilunga Makabu. Fightful will have live coverage of the event.
- Former junior welterweight title challenger Amir Imam has signed a multi-year promotional deal with Top Rank Boxing after a stint with legendary promoter Don King. Imam, who will campaign at either junior welterweight or welterweight, also recently enlisted the services of South Florida-based manager Peter Kahn.
- A couple of fights have been announced for the undercard of the August 24 Matchroom Boxing on DAZN card in Mexico. The main event is Juan Fracisco Estrada vs. Dewayne Beamon for the WBC super flyweight title:
- Liam Smith vs. Mario Alberto Lozano
- Jono Carroll vs. Eleazar Valenzuela
- Former British lightweight champion Lewis Ritson will face junior welterweight contender Robbie Davies Jr. on a Matchroom Boxing show in Newcastle, England on October 19.
- Joshua Buatsi will defend his WBA International light heavyweight title against Ryan Ford on August 31 as part of the undercard of Vasiliy Lomachenko vs. Luke Campbell.
- Jay Harris will defend his European flyweight title against Paddy Barnes on October 11 at Ulster Hall in Belfast, Northern Ireland in the main event of an MTK Global on ESPN+ card.
- Undisputed welterweight champion Cecilia Breakhus is now being trained by Abel Sanchez.
