Fight-size Boxing Update: Otha Jones III Signs With Matchroom Boxing, Amir Khan, Jamal James

Your fight-size boxing update:

- Matchroom Boxing has announced that it has signed top amateur prospect Otha Jones III to a promotional deal.

- Jamal James will fight Janer Gonzalez in the co-main event of the February 23 PBC on FS1 card from The Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The main event is Anthony Dirrell vs. Avni Yildirim for the vacant WBC super middleweight title.

- Amir Khan will continue having Virgil Hunter as his training as Khan is preparing to face off against Terence Crawford on April 20 on an ESPN pay-per-view card.

- Kem Ljungquist will now meet undefeated Boldizsar Balazs Czagler on January 19 in Denmark following the withdrawal of his scheduled opponent Dominik Musil, who has been ruled out after breaking his nose in sparring. The fight will be a part of the undercard of Dina Thorslund?s WBO Female super bantamweight title defense against Alesia Graf.

- The first card of the 2019 spring season of Boxeo Telemundo will take place on February 22 at the Osceola Heritage Park Events Center in Kissimmee, Florida. The main event of that card is Yomar Alamo vs. Manuel Mendez in a 10-round junior welterweight bout.

- Undefeated lightweight prospect Ravshanbek Umurzakov will face Rimar Metuda in an eight-round bout on February 22.

- Hiroaki Teshigawara will defend his OPBF super bantamweight against Yuki Iriguchi on February 14 card at a boxing card at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.
