- Amateur standout Otha Jones III, who recently signed with Matchroom Boxing, will make his professional debut at the Turning Stone Resort in Verona, New York on March 9 as part of the DAZN card taking place there. Eddie Hearn stated the plan is for Jones to fight 8 times in 2019.

- Thomas Mattice and Will Madera will face off in the new co-feature bout of the February 1 ShoBox: The New Generation tripleheader that will air live on Showtime at the Main Street Armory in Rochester, N.Y. The Mattice vs. Madera bout was added to the telecast after unbeaten 140-pound prospect Logan Yoon suffered a knee injury while training to face Richard Zamora.

- DAZN tweeted a video, which can be seen below, of Oscar De La Hoya giving his thoughts on IBF middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs, who is facing Canelo Alvarez on May 4.

- Undefeated Commonwealth featherweight champion Jordan Gill announced on Twitter that he will fight on the March 2 Matchroom Boxing card from Peterborough, England. No opponent has been announced for Gill's next fight.

- MTK Global has signed former flyweight world title challenger Muhammad Waseem, who lost to Moruti Mthalane in an IBF flyweight title fight this past July, to a management deal. An announcement of Waseem's next fight will be announced soon.
