First Three Bouts Added To UFC Fight Night London

Three bouts have been added to the upcoming UFC Fight Night London card as Leon Edwards faces Peter Sobotta, Magomed Ankalaev faces Paul Craig and Mark Godbeer faces Dmitry Poberezhets.

Edwards (14-3-0) enters the fight on the strength of a four bout winning streak, last defeating Bryan Barberena at UFC Fight Night Rotterdam. Edwards has seen his last six fights go all the way to the third round, with five of those bouts going the distance.

Sobotta (17-5-1) comes into the fight on a two bout winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in over two years. Sobotta is currently in the midst of his second run with the UFC, holding a record of 4-4-0 during those two runs.

Ankalaev (9-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and his undefeated streak has lasted almost four years. Ankalaev is the current World Fighting Championship Akhmat Light Heavyweight Champion, but he will relinquish the title now that a UFC debut is imminent.

Craig (9-2-0) enters the fight on a two bout losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Tyson Pedro and Khalil Rountree. Craig has yet to see any of his professional MMA fights go the distance and only two of those bouts made it to the second round.

Godbeer (13-3-0) will come into the bout on a two fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in over a year. Godbeer also competed once under the Bellator MMA banner, losing to UFC veteran Cheick Kongo at Bellator 102.

Poberezhets (24-5-1-1NC) is making his UFC debut in this fight and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost six years. Poberezhets also held The Zone FC Heavyweight Title, which he won by defeating Eddy Bengtsson in 2012.

UFC Fight Night London takes place on Saturday, March 17 from the 02 Arena in London, England with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
