Floyd Mayweather Would Consider A Decision Win A Failure

Floyd Mayweather is preparing for his upcoming super fight against UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor, which is less than three weeks away.

Mayweather is looking to get the win against the Irishman, but a decision win would be considered a failure in his mind.

“I would say so,” Mayweather said after a media workout. “If the fight goes the distance it is a win for him. But I don’t think that is going to happen. He is going around saying that it will be over in four rounds, and he might be right. But it will be because I say so, and not him.”

In his 49 fight professional MMA career, the legendary boxer saw 23 of those 49 fights go the distance.

To ensure the fight with McGregor doesn’t go the distance, the returning Mayweather will keep coming forward at all times.

“I will be coming forward,” he said. “I am coming to get him.”

Conor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather takes place on Saturday, August 26 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
