Flyweight Attraction Set For UFC Fight Night Sydney

A flyweight division attraction is the latest addition to the UFC Fight Night Sydney card as Ryan Benoit is in the Octagon against Ashkan Mokhtarian.

Benoit (9-5-0) has rotated wins and losses throughout his UFC run, with his last bout being a loss to Brandon Moreno at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale. Benoit has only earned a pair of victories under the UFC banner, with the most notable coming over Sergio Pettis at UFC 185. Benoit also competed four times in the Legacy Fighting Championships and he won all four fights in the promotion.

Mokhtarian (13-2-0) is currently winless in UFC competition, having dropped a bout to John Moraga at UFC Fight Night Auckland. Mokhtarian is a longtime veteran of JNI Promotion, having won all the bouts he competed in during his time there. Mokhtarian has only seen just one of his professional MMA fights go the distance, which was the loss to John Moraga in his UFC debut.

UFC Fight Night Sydney takes place on Saturday, November 18 from the Qudus Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia with Mark Hunt and Marcin Tybura headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
