A flyweight division attraction has been added to the UFC On Fox 23 card as Eric Shelton will step into the octagon against Alexandre Pantoja.
Shelton (10-2-0) was a cast member on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 24, he was eliminated in the semi-finals of the reality show, this fight will be his official UFC debut. Shelton will enter the fight riding a four fight winning streak and he’s a former Caged Aggression Flyweight Champion. Shelton also spent a little time in the Resurrection Fighting Alliance, where he suffered a defeat to Sid Bice at RFA 16.
Pantoja (16-2-0) was also a cast member on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 24, he was also eliminated in the semi-finals, this fight will also be his official UFC debut. Pantoja is a former Resurrection Fighting Alliance Flyweight Champion, he gave up the title after signing with the UFC. Pantoja will enter the fight riding a nine fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in over six years.
UFC On Fox 23 takes place on Saturday, January 28 from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado with no headliners announced at this time, the main card will be airing live on Fox.
