Former CMLL World Women's Champion Dominated At UFC Chile

Syuri Kondo is well known for her career versatility. She's a pro wrestler, a kickboxer and an MMA fighter -- and a rather good one at that.

Syuri went 13-1 in kickboxing before walking away in 2015, and was undefeated in MMA heading into Saturday night's UFC Chile event. The 29-year old made a successful UFC debut in Japan last September, where she edged out Chan-Mi Jeon via split decision.

In the wrestling world, Syuri, under the name KG, has wrestled for HUSTLE, SMASH, Sendai Girls, CMLL and others over the last decade. She has hold multiple championships across Pancrase and CMLL while crossing over. Ultimately, she stopped wrestling to pursue the UFC offer last year.

However, things didn't end up going so hot for Kondo on Saturday night. She ran into a surging Poliana Botelho, most notably, her leg. Botelho was able to connect with a brutal liver kick right out of the gate, before following up and flattening Kondo with a vicious punch. You can see a video of the finish below.
